Book Review: Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas

MY FIRST BOOK REVIEW ON THIS BLOG YAY

Okay, so this book. Where do I even start? THIS BOOK.

"Wouldn't we all look guilty, if someone searched hard enough?"

First of all, when I first saw the cover, I wasn't at all struck by the fact of how dangerous and mind blowing this book was. It had a simple cover; one of a girl lying on a bed with a blue duvet and the title in pink. Doesn't seem like anything harmful, right? WRONG. TERRIBLY WRONG.

Anna, boyfriend Tate, best friend Elise, and mutual friends head out to Aruba for spring break; the land of beaches, parties, and drinks. It was supposed to be the best time of their lives, but one of them didn't come out of paradise alive, and the other was charged with first degree murder in a foreign country.

While Anna is stuck in trial, everyone starts to agree that not only is Anna guilty, but very very dangerous.

Due to the No Spoilers nature of this review, I'm just going to say a few stuff.

-Don't be fooled by the cover of this book.

-I had three prime suspects throughout the book, but let me tell you that you don't really find out who killed Elise until like the last page

-After finishing the book, you will realise that Abigail had dropped quite a few hints about the killer that, now that I'm thinking about it, I deliberately overlooked because I was too swept up in trying to prove Anna's innocence that I couldn't accurately locate the killer.

-Abigail's descriptions made me feel every drink, every kiss, every party. It was simply astounding.

-There will be MANY loose ends. You will finish the last page and be like "Really? That's it?" You will try to read the last few pages again in hopes of trying to understand WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED but all you will be left with is the same things, read over and over.

-THE ENDING IS LIKE SOMEBODY PUNCHED YOU IN THE FACE AND I WISH I WAS KIDDING.

So I'm giving this 4.5 STARS just because in my opinion there were quite too many loose ends? I mean, it's good to have a couple of questions about an ending but this book was like finishing a novel in a fragment. I was like "And? This can't be the last sentence? Are you serious?". So I would've liked a couple more tied ends just for the sake of reader satisfaction.

I hope you guys enjoyed the review! And just, read the book. READ IT. You will feel like someone blew your brains out. (PS: this book is more reason why I want to study Psychology.)
